Hey all, I'm back again, this time with an almost vertical laptop stand. I needed a more vertical stand for my desk so I changed up my standard stand a bit. Takes up a bit less real estate and puts the monitor a few inches higher. I also added some cable wings/tips/tabs on the back to help keep the cords from hanging off the sides. Uses the same mounting holes as previous designs and they are recessed from the ‘outside’ plane to help hide them. The honeycomb infill also help prevent the rods from poking all the way through to the outside. Use some E6000 glue or Epoxy to secure the rods.
Even with the reduced footprint, it's still extremely stable. Easy to insert and remove the laptop, just add some rubber feet to the bottom to keep it from sliding a bit. Note: The pics here are from the prototype print (no cable arms). I've since printed a few stands and will replace the pics when I can. The grey stand is my original-original prototype and I used it just to show off the original angle which has stayed consistent on the other versions.
