I wanted to muffle the sound for the aux fan intake. I replaced both auxiliary and case exhaust fans and that helped but wanted it quieter. So, I used Mongrel’s design and remixed it and came up with this simple idea and it works great. The intake doesn't need a filter so I removed the brace that holds them on the exhaust side. I didn't have round magnets so I changed them to what I had, but can be easy to put round ones with a minor change. I also made the intake hole larger for better airflow.
With the printer on and no rear fans running it’s at 30 dBA with new fans

With both fans on it’s at 58.7 dBA without muffler With muffler it’s at 48.6 dBA
As you can see, this muffler really helps in bringing the sound level down.
