Edits to remove the print in place aspect for the latch, latch hinge pin, and latch pin. Instead has holes to accept a length of filament to be pushed in, providing far more strength and ease of use. Some models also have a hole through the hingepin center section, to reinforce them with a small length of filament while keeping their print in place aspect. For some reason I did not have good luck with printing them as-is, the latch pin would always break easily, or I would damage areas trying to work them loose. This remix fixes that problem.
Drill out all holes to 1.75-2mm then for extra security, you can drill the latch (center) section out a bit looser to remove any chance of pin rotating and walking out. CF-PETG filament is more than strong and stiff enough, CF-PLA is too, but really I think any filament will work without issue. Replacing a piece takes seconds since no glue is used to capture the pin.
I recommend smooshing one end of the filament mostly flat with pliers, and then pushing that end in, locking it in place without glue. This keeps it in place with far more strength than is required, while allowing replacement in a few seconds with a simple push with another piece of filament, screwdriver, or pin as it acts like a tapered locking pin. I do add a chamfer with a larger drill bit, unibit, anything really, to help the flattened section enter. It works quite well and I've used this method for several models including some I use daily without any issue.
