One of my sensors is too far away from the controller to allow for successful firmware updates, even though it works great in normal operation. Since the board is mounted to the part that is adhered to the door/frame, it doesn't support just bringing it closer when needed.
This bracket allows for mounting with the original adhesive method while also making it easy to remove when needed (firmware updates, battery changes, etc). I printed in PETG for the flexibility and strength (the walls are only 3 loops using a .4mm nozzle, but PLA would probably be OK.
