KVT crimping tools have detaching matrices with proprietary mount. Brand cases provides small pockets for matrices, therefore user may decide soon it is not a convenient way to store and search greasy matrix pairs.
The possible solution is a universal compact hard case for matrices. Here KVT crimping tool owner can find range of from 1 × 2 to 2 × 5 matrix holders. Also parametric FreeCAD model allows to easily make any size holder and tune some other parameters with a Spreadsheet.
KVT matrices are not same sized. In this sense the holder is (more or less) universal: it fits majority of matrices. Checked and fits for: MPK-01, MPK-02, MPK-03, MPK-04, MPK-05, MPK-06, MPK-10, MPK-11, MPK-14.
Holder consists of two parts: a box and a cover which may be printed at once. Printing parameters are general: use higher infill(≥20%), more perimeters (≥3), top and bottom layers (≥2) to make your holder stronger. Someone may find 100% infill is optimal.
