Elegoo Centauri Carbon LED light at nozzle height

I wanted light at nozzle height that would not be obscured by the print head.

I believe I have the latest version of the Elegoo Centauri Carbon.

It has a strip of LEDs, approx. 75 mm long, on the right side of the printer ceiling.

The light is better than in previous versions, but I wanted more light in the printer.

Since there is approx. 8 mm of space behind the gantry, the lighting had to be very thin.

My LED strips are all 12 V.

For this reason, two strips are connected in series to achieve 24 V.

This means I don't need a voltage converter to reduce the current to 12 V.

If you have 24 V LED strips, you can connect them in parallel.

The 24 V for the LEDs comes from the mainboard via the connector for the interior lighting.

The light is then switched on and off via the touch display.

If you need a switch, you can install it in the circuit.

Since I had some neodymium magnets with a diameter of 15 mm and a height of 2 mm lying around, I installed them in the part.

There are also models for magnets with a diameter of 10 to 15 mm.

The magnets should not be higher than 3 mm.

I have LED strips in widths of 7.2, 8.2, 9.6, and 10 mm.

For this reason, models for these sizes are included.

The plugs and sockets I use are JST-XH.

These are not the same as those on the mainboard, but they fit mine.
