This is a replacement tip for a generic walking/hiking/trekking pole.
There are two parts: a cover part that replaces the one that usually comes with those sticks and covers the pointy/spike tip, and a replaceable tip that fits inside that. I envisioned that, since the replaceable tip is constantly impacting the ground it will wear off, and it could be reprinted as often as necessary. Alternatively, the cork part from the cap of a Port wine bottle can also be used as the replaceable tip (that's what I used as size reference actually). The cork is nice and soft but will wear very fast on wet or gravel ground. As you can see see in the photos, this has been in use for several months now.
The main cover part was printed in PETG with 3 perimeters, but PLA should also work. The replaceable tip should be printed in TPU, also with 3 perimeters. Most importantly, remember to increase the number of top layers on the tip (i.e., the part that is constantly hitting the ground) – I used 10 layers at 0.2mm layer height.
FreeCAD model file included if you need to customize it.
