P-Mag electronic aircraft ignitions require cooling with a blast tube.
This shroud accepts a 1" SCAT tube and directs air over the ignition.
I have used this model an a 4-cylinder Lycoming engine. I don't know if it will fit a 6 cylinder or Continental version; I can easily modify the file if you can provide dimensions and test fit it.
PLA / PETG is not appropriate to use on an engine; it should be adequately cooled by the airflow, but the heat-soaking after shutdown will melt PLA / PETG. ULTEM is most appropriate for a forever part, flame retardant ASA or nylon are appropriate for a test part.
This shroud requires pushing over center to install, and will stay in place without additional fasteners. It is symmetrical, and will fit either side, and any position where it doesn't impinge on the motor mount / case.
Prints nicely without support with the edge of the ring flat on the plate, and the tube up at an angle.
I printed a straight and reverse part as well; not sure if they're necessary, but very easy to produce different orientations.
