New to designing 3d models and I thought I'd try my hand at designing a fidget spinner.  I had a thought that the spin time can be increased by adding mass and the further that mass is from the bearing the longer it is likely to spin (yeah this is what this old guy remembers from science class many, many years ago).  In studying other designs it looks like a good and inexpensive way to add mass is to use nuts.  In this design I used 8, 12, or 16 stainless steel nuts (½ inch) for the added mass.

For the 8 and 16 size my goal was to make the middle part as low mass as possible.  For the 12 the design is a little different in order to keep it within a reasonable size. Speaking of size,  the 8 is 72mm in diameter, the 12 is 90mm and the 16 comes in at 86mm.  I include the size because they may be a bit on the large size depending on your hand size.

As you might imagine, the 16 has the longest spins.  Using these bearings:  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0F1TH69G2/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3DDYVJT6VP8R&th=1
I have achieved spins of over two minutes.

The bearing and the nuts are press fit.  The holder also press fits but I'd still recommend a dab of super glue.
