Hexagon Mesh Collection – Modular Designs in Multiple Sizes

Explore a collection of four unique hexagon mesh styles, each available in three pre-scaled, print-ready sizes.

All meshes share the same connector system, allowing you to combine and remix them freely. Play around with color variations, filament changes, or mixed materials — every setup results in a completely new look.
 

Each hexagon was designed with care, but one stood out for me in particular — it became the foundation for further refinements and eventually inspired the development of the Geodesic Sphere project.

Its special highlight is the circumferential groove running through the center of the hexagon. This detail opens up endless possibilities for your own adaptations and creative experiments.
 

The hexagon “caps” were created as the first example for this circumferential groove. They lock neatly into place and can be printed in different colors or materials — for instance, TPU for a soft-touch surface.

You’ll also find a blank connector version without the hexagon, perfect for remixing — add spikes, feathers, textures, or your own artistic details.
 

All files are included as STEP versions as well, so you can easily modify and adapt them to your own projects.

Entdecke eine Sammlung von vier einzigartigen Hexagon-Mesh-Stilen, jeweils in drei vorgefertigten, druckbereiten Größen verfügbar.

Alle Meshes verwenden dasselbe Verbindersystem, sodass du sie frei kombinieren und remixen kannst. Experimentiere mit Farbvariationen, Materialwechseln oder unterschiedlichen Filamenten — jedes Setup erzeugt ein völlig neues Design.
 

Jedes Hexagon wurde sorgfältig gestaltet, doch eins stach für mich besonders hervor — es diente als Grundlage für weitere Anpassungen und inspirierte schließlich die Entwicklung des Geodesic Sphere-Projekts.

Das besondere Highlight ist die umlaufende Nut in der Mitte des Hexagons, die unendlich viele Möglichkeiten für eigene Anpassungen und kreative Experimente eröffnet.
 

Die Hexagon-“Caps” wurden als erstes Beispiel für diese umlaufende Nut entworfen. Sie lassen sich fest einrasten und können in unterschiedlichen Farben oder Materialien gedruckt werden — zum Beispiel TPU für eine weiche Oberfläche.

Es gibt außerdem eine leere Verbinderversion ohne Hexagon, ideal zum Remixen — füge Spitzen, Federn, Texturen oder eigene kreative Details hinzu.
 

Alle Dateien liegen zusätzlich als STEP-Versionen vor, sodass du sie problemlos an deine eigenen Projekte anpassen und bearbeiten kannst.
