Qidi Q2 60mm tall riser with vent sliders and internal/external accessory mount points. None of the existing published designs had all the characteristics I wanted, so I created my own. I modeled this in TinkerCAD, and the STEP files were generated by sending to Fusion 360 and exporting as STEP.
- 60mm height
- vented slide panels
- glass slide with stops (you need to add your own tabs using the m3 screw through holes)
- supports required only for cantilevered lower lip of each corner piece
- internal attachment points for LEDs, etc. via heat set insert holes
- external attachment points via m3 screw “through” holes along the top edge
Additional Hardware Required:
- x8 Voron M3x5x4 threaded heat set inserts (i.e. Ruthex RX-M3x5x4 for Voron)
- x8 M3x12 BHCS
Print Settings:
- Machine: Qidi Q2
- Filament: Polymaker ASA
- Hot-end: 250C
- Bed: 100C
- Chamber: 40C
- Infill: Gyroid, 25%
- Supports: Yes (only needed for lower cantilevered lip)
Notes:
The panels are modeled at 1.6mm think for a 2.0mm slot. Mine fit with almost no friction. You may want to print a single one first to ensure it fits to your taste before printing the rest.
Tolerance on the glass panel rest is pretty tight (1-2mm) so if you have shrinkage prone filament, you may find yourself angry. Please, make sure you test fit the glass after you print the first two front corners to make absolutely sure it works for you before you print the remaining two rear panels.
I did not create glass panel holder tabs, but the mount points are there for them (M3 screw from the bottom). I'll add those here once I design them. I also did not create TPU plugs for the cable through holes on the rear panels. Those will also be created and provided soon.
