Scrooge and Ghost

Model captures a pivotal moment from the classic tale. The scene is framed dramatically within a crescent moon shape, giving it the feel of an oversized ornament or unique desk sculpture.

In the foreground, the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge is seated, hunched over a small table. He appears to be engaged in his usual pursuit—counting or examining stacks of coins, emphasizing his greed and obsession with wealth. He is wearing a nightcap and robe, setting the scene in his private chambers.

Jacob Marley's Ghost: Hovering behind and slightly above Scrooge is the terrifying figure of Jacob Marley's Ghost. The phantom is draped in heavy, tangled chains that are clearly visible, symbolizing the heavy burden of the "cash-boxes, keys, padlocks, ledgers, deeds, and heavy purses" that he "forged in life." The contrast between the grounded, occupied Scrooge and the ethereal, floating ghost is striking.
