The Metteura is a master of misdirection. They know that a warrior's gaze is a weapon, so they give it a better target. 'Smoke & Mirrors' isn't just a bit of fog; it's a grand, dazzling, and utterly meaningless spectacle. A sudden explosion of colourful sparks, illusory masks, the works. It's so beautiful, so compelling, that you can't help but stare. And while your whole crew is busy aiming their crossbows at a pretty light show, the real threat — the Metteura's brutish bodyguard — is quietly flanking you for a blade in the ribs. A classic, deadly con.
