Reflections Medals 2025

If your US state does reflections, you'll know what this is for. My kid's school does the reflections contest and they like to give a participation award to everyone who submits to the contest. They paid for medals last year, and I knew I could help save the school some money by firing up my own printer. With the contest theme this year being “I Belong!”, I made the outline of the medal in the shape of a puzzle piece to match the marketing they did. 

I'm uploading the blank puzzle pieces with a very slight offset for the category symbol on the bottom side. At .2mm layer height the slicer should just look at the offset as essentially a split surface, so it should be easy to “paint” the model. (That's what I had to do to make it work in Tinkercad). Just use Tinkercad or any other model text generator of your choice to add the verbiage to the top side. 

I hope to get a few more pictures posted of the other categories, but I wanted to get these up quick since award ceremonies for this year will be happening soon. In future years I'll probably genericize the shape so it could be used every year regardless of the theme. Happy printing!
