Framework Laptop 16 Standalone Case and Display Stand - Improved Printability

Standalone case and optional display stand for use with a framework 16 mainboard and display.

The display stand utilizes the built-in mounting points on the display, enabling simple but sturdy mounting.

The original mainboard case model was designed with decorative elements that result in very little contact with the build plate. This remix flattens that part to enable easy and reliable printing.

I also include pre-configured ASA profiles for easy printing with high temperature tolerance and easy printing, ideal for the high temperatures the CPU can reach.

I've observed that the tolerances on the split version of the case are too tight, so some filing may be needed. I've requested that framework provide STEP files to make other adjustments easier, and plan to further remix the files to improve the tolerances, if they do release those models.

This is a 3D-printable case to enable re-use of the Framework Laptop 16 Mainboard.

Note that you'll want to use filament that is designed for high temperatures, like ABS, PETG, or PP.

It is sized to be able to fit on the print bed of a Prusa XL, but there is also a split version to enable smaller printers.

You'll need to print 8x of the "Connect Pin 1" to connect the top and bottom halves to each other.

If you're printing the split version, you'll also need 5x of the "Connect Pin 2".
