One of the most time-intensive stages in preparing olives is the crushing. Properly crushed olives are ready within about a month, while uncrushed olives may require a year or more.
To make this process faster and easier, I designed a simple machine: attach a drill, add your fresh olives, and you’ll have them crushed and ready for jarring in no time.
A few notes:
• Larger olives from certain varieties may occasionally need a gentle push with a wooden spoon to guide them into the crusher.
• Microplastics are a valid concern. This device will naturally wear over time, and some particles may eventually reach the olives. but microplastics are already every where any way, so do what you think is right.
• I printed the parts in PETG for durability, but if you prefer a more food-safe approach, PLA is a reasonable alternative.
• The hopper should be printed upside-down and requires no supports (I suggesting adding a brim).
In addition to the printed parts you will need a 6mm shaft (can be salvaged from old regular printers), and also a M6 bolt. No supports are needed
