This heel fork uses knitting machine needles instead of wire. I'ev found that the needle. Hooks are much better at grabbing the yarn, and the needles are held in much better than wire. I just used some glue and shoved in the wedge and it's incredibly sturdy. Didn't even need to wait for the glue to dry.
I used the same needles that JeepingJohnny calls for his machine.
