Before attaching the new mount, you should thoroughly remove the remains of the old one. I did it using a milling machine, but a sharp knife and a file will work just as well. After carefully cleaning the surface, I glued the new mount on using cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The new mount works perfectly ;)
