Allow separation of sections in individual wells for curing in bubbling artificial cerebrospinal fluid (during biocytin spread for example). Also ideal for cell trituration in pronase complemented bubbling ACSF (manual fluorescent cell isolation).
Use 1mm cut tubbing glued in a ring shape has a gasket to fit the setup in a standard plastic petri dish. The setup should then be pinned in place and not allowed to float when the ACSF is added.
