Burton Binding Replacement Straps
Modell 2015 and newer
This is a 3D printer optimised version of straps to fit some Burton bindings, a 2018 Malavita in my case.
Recommended settings
Print resolution : | 0.1mm or 0.2mm |
Line width : | 0.2mm or 0.4mm |
Infill : | 100% |
Supports : | Yes, but block the slots |
Recommended material : | TPU A95 and harder |
Recommended print speed : | slow |
Differences to original
Dimensions
both straps are about 1.5cm shorter than Burtons
Lock slots (Bottom)
on both straps slightly further apart to improve stability
Crank slots (Top)
angles on both straps are estimations but seem to work fine
rail added to toe strap to improve stability
Mounting
both are supposed to fit plug & play
try to re-use the original bolt for the toe strap, a 3D printed part in this place is not a good idea in my opinion
Impression
The straps seems to be rigid and can be tightened properly without skipping of the lock mechanism. Mine are printed with Elegoo TPU A95 and appear to be a little softer than the original material, although I haven't noticed it stretching much under tension.
Long-Term-Test is going well so far, about 18 days on the clock! So far no visible damage or stretching. No skipping under heavy tension.
I'm happy with the results.

Use at your own risk and remember, it's 3D printed… BRING A SPARE ;)
Happy shredding y'all!!!
