This is my a bit more modern interpretation of a light bow for Christmas.

It is a pretty big piece almost 40 x 30 cm. Therefore I had to split it into multiple parts. The parts clip together on the dovetails.
The scene in the middle is just clipped into a 3 mm rail, so you can update it with different motives. But I only created one for now.

We are Gen X so we still “dare” to go with real candles ;) The holes to hold the candles are 17 mm. We use brass inlays from an old children's birthday set. So the plastic is at least a bit protected. The good thing is the brace holder have a conic shape so it fits candles with 10-14 mm ( search for “bionik kerzenhalter” if you want to find the same we use) . I will provide a printable inlay if you want to go full print.

I am pretty sure you can also mount LED candles but I do not have any. So I could not measure them in. But as long as they are  ≤17 mm you should be good.
If somebody has some you can sent me the diameter - I can quickly create a mount for them.

Tip for scaling the scene parts:
Scale as you like - just take care that the pieces remain 3mm thick

Tip for creating your own scene:
It is pretty simple - the rail for holding scene parts is 3.3mm wide and 7mm deep. My figures are 3mm thick and the holder on the bottom of each is 6.7mm in height

I printed it on my Core One with Overture Matte PLA Beige

I hope you enjoy.

 Keep on tinkering :)

Update log:
-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-

  • 29.11.2025:
    • I added a stable with the holy family and a donkey for scene creation
  • 30.11.2025:
    • Added the inlay in case you do not have a brass one
    • The original is 40mm thick - for some taste this might be to massive
So I added a 30mm version of the frame and a 60mm of the foot.
Did not print it yet but maybe the 30mm frame with the 60mm foot looks a bit better…
The assembly.3mf is now available in a 30mm and 40mm version
    • In case you are not into the religious stuff - how about Ginger Bread man/woman :-)
    • added “Merry Christmas” Bell
    • after joking around a bit… now with “Xmas Gingerbread Bubus”
