Originally designed to mount to a Zaribo electronics box, altered to use heatsets. You will need M2.5 heatsets though. And honestly this will mount to anything flat so very flexbile.
You can ping me if you want me to make different holes for the Pi mount. I think as it is now you can probably do M2.5 bolts directly into plastic.
I wanted a cleaner external look, so I plan to power the Pi via GPIO pins and no hole for microUSB/USB-C power is provided. The other advantage to this is that I converted the mesh back to CAD, so there is F360 and STEP you can play with.
Bill of Materials (BoM)
- (4) Voron-standard heatsets
- (4) M2.5 heatsets
- (4) M2.5x6mm bolts to attach Pi (4mm will probably be better but I don't have any to test)
Printing
I printed at 0.3mm layer height which seems to look ok. Print with the grill side on the plate. ABS worked fine with no resizing, so I'd suggest just printing at 100% even if you are using PLA/PETG.
Photo Notes
NOTE - one of the pictures is old - a screw won't fit into the Pi heatset location. And you can't upsize to a M3 because that will not fit through the hole in the PCB.
The blue part is the modified version of the 3030 Octopus electronics enclosure which I will be using and publishing.
Pictured is a Pi3B+. I intend to mount it inverted from what Zaribo showed - I'm not sure why would want want all the ports facing upwards - which is both ugly and just asking for plastic junk to fall into it.
Pictured are Fusion Filament's Uranium Yellow and Electrolytic Deuterium, both are ABS and printed at 100% size.
