Buying the required electrical parts locally proved difficult, so I bought a cheap lamp instead. Unfortunately, the E14 socket wasn't compatible with the original lamp base because only the top part was threaded. This mount moves the socket mount higher up into the globe so there's enough room below to insert the socket from the bottom. Adding a nut from the top is optional, the socket is already held in place by the 3D printed thread. A positive side effect is that the taller mount moves the lightbulb closer to the globe's centre, possibly resulting in more even lighting.
Screws required:
2 off ø3x8mm pan head self-tapping (for clip)
6 off ø3x10mm countersunk self-tapping (for lid)
Print Settings:
PLA, 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height, 3 perimeters, 5 bottom + 5 top solid layers, 20% gyroid infill.
Main part only: supports required (see last image or use the M3F file), use support enforcers to avoid supports being generated for the thread.
Clip only: 100% infill.
