Traits

Undead Fortitude.
If damage reduces the Bonewing Dreadwyrm to 0 HP, it must make a CON saving throw (DC 10 or half the damage taken, whichever is higher). On a success, it drops to 1 HP instead.

Graveflight.
While flying, the Dreadwyrm emits a chilling aura. Creatures within 10 feet must succeed on a DC 16 WIS saving throw or be frightened until the end of their next turn.

Bone Shrapnel.
When the Dreadwyrm takes a critical hit, shards of bone explode outward. All creatures within 10 feet must make a DC 15 DEX saving throw or take 3d6 piercing damage.

Actions

Multiattack.
The Dreadwyrm makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target.
Hit: 21 (2d12 + 7) piercing damage.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target.
Hit: 17 (2d8 + 7) slashing damage.

Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target.
Hit: 19 (2d10 + 7) bludgeoning damage.

Necrotic Breath (Recharge 5–6).
The Dreadwyrm exhales a wave of shadowy energy in a 60-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 18 CON saving throw, taking 54 (12d8) necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success. Creatures reduced to 0 HP by this breath rise as skeletons under the Dreadwyrm’s control for 1 minute.
