Made this after noticing that I was writing certain grocery items over and over on the main shopping list. The designs I found online (credited at the end) were pretty neat. But there were still a lot of details I wanted to combine or change. The end result is this customizable grocery list.

The files you see here ready to print were made to fit the bed of an Ender 3 V3 with a build area of 220x220mm.

Before printing one entire list I recommend that you print the items labeled "detail" + a slider to check the tolerances. Then if needed you can either calibrate your print settings or edit the model files. If you're somewhat familiar with the software FreeCAD the main tolerances can be more easily edited with the spreadsheet found inside the .FCStd file.

Also using this spreadsheet, it's possible to customize things like the number of rows, columns, size of the tags, width of the frame, thickness of the plates and much more. BEWARE that the file can be slow to update and that big changes can break it. I recommend that if for example you want to change the number of rows from 14 to 3 you do this in small increments (14->12->10...). Increments of 2 seem to work for all the values I tested.

-- About the post processing and additions --

Those are just some things I did after printing and that I suggest that you do too, beyond sanding and adding the magnets. The post processing may vary depending on the materials you have at hand.

The sliders for example will come in only one color (unless you somehow change the filament mid print). To add the white portion I used one of those adhesive notebook labels -- cut a wide strip, glued to the slider, trimmed the edges flush using a box cutter, repeated for every slider. Using paint (maybe acrylic?) can be a easier/faster way of achieving the dual color.

I also added painter's tape to the bottom of every slider using the same process, in order to make them glide more smoothly.

Because the list ended up being too heavy to be held by just two magnets I added some strips of electrical tape to the back to increase the friction against the refrigerator. That worked, but to be safe I added a third magnet to mine and also included a slot for it in the models. You can try to use the 3 magnets + the bare print but I do recommend adding some sort of rubbery tape to the back.

For the item tags, you can either do them by hand or print and cut them. I made the ones seen on the photo using Inkscape. The tag dimensions for the models shared are 10x30mm. I also made a "tag maker". The .FCStd file for it is among the ones shared. It's capable of generating the tags with the correct size and spacing to print and even includes the possibility to add the item names. But I ended up not using or testing it, as it was more flexible to do everything in Inkscape.

And well, that shall be it
