Tesing the vent operation is difficult because the firmware remembers where it thinks the vent is and so it doesn't change the vent position unless you load a filament like ASA or ABS. And then it takes ages for the printer do all its print startup stuff before it adjusts the vent.

There's a great post here to fix that - so it always adjusts the print for each job.

But if you have just installed the vent upgrade and want to see if its working this gcode

  • Closes the Vent

  • Opens the Vent

  • Closes the Vent

  • Opens the Vent

So just print this to test the vent open and close

Note the vent stuff is in  a zip file because printables won't upload a raw gcode with the M870 command. Ignore the gcode file it won't do anything with the vent
