This is a collapsible sword or dagger depending on which files you choose.  This includes, three blades, three pummels, and two handles.

There are three configurations available.

  1. "Sword Handle" with a "Sword Pummel" and a "Sword Blade Single" or Double Fuller.

  2. "Sword Handle" with a "Dagger Pummel Sword Handle" and a "Dagger Blade".

  3. "Dagger Handle" with a "Dagger Pummel Dagger Handle" and a "Dagger Blade".

Supports

All required supports have been prebuilt into the files.  The supports have been highlighted in red in the rendered photos.  The supports are a snug fit and take some effort to remove.  Also included are the files with the prebuilt supports removed.  The handle files have a brim that increased the successfulness of the print.  With that said, it will need to be removed and the inner section needs to be as burr/artifact/brim free as possible.  This will allow the blade to move freely within the handle and collapse successfully.

Assembly

The blades have been designed to be printed in one piece and should easily extend with minimal to no effort. IE the individual blade sections should not fuse together during printing.  If this is not the case for you please let me know.

Glue will be required between the rain guard and handle.  However gluing the pummel to the handle is optional.  Without gluing the pummel, the blade is easily changed between a sword, dagger, or replaced.  I used E6000 glue in the photos.

Modifications

The rain guard and handle have two options.  One version is the "fancy" style and the other is "blank".  The idea is the blank version can be modified to your preference.

Design

The files have been designed for 0.2mm layer height but the print in the photos is at 0.15mm to help with increasing the details.

I have found, unsurprisingly, that a PETG sword will hold up longer than a PLA sword.  However it has been designed to increase longevity.

Filaments used are PolyMaker PolyLite PLA Pro Silver, PolyMaker PolyLite PLA Pro Gold, and PolyMaker PolyLite PLA Pro Brown.  I used the poor mans MMU to print it in multiple colors.
