I decided to buy a bond it super glue the thicker type. there are a lot of companies that use similar models.
sometimes my model stands upright and sometimes lying down depending on which way my toolbox is.
so i bought a rod of ptfe 16mm which is the least sticky material so the super glue does not stick to it.

i then used a standard filament ptfe tube. cut a peice off about 10mm
i created the template and drilled a hole 4mm offset on the side
since i wanted to avoid the super glue entering the spout whether positioned upright or horizontal, i then poured out about 2/3 the bottle and stored it elsewhere.
i inserted a piece of of the ptfe tube into the other ptfe. & then inserted into the super glue but not all the way so can be removed. also it may need a little chamfer at the edge so you can initially get it into the super glue but the rest will slide in no problem.
i then bought two part silicone which can be purchased anywhere. poured it into the mould and made quite a few caps which work perfect. just remember to leave it on radiator a day or two & then then leave it on another day after removed. (the walls are preforated so remove easier)
