I Am Darth's model of the Hubble Telescope is very nice, with faithful detail. I made only simple modifications in Prusa Slicer, to allow using an uncut mirror with the secondary baffle.
I printed this for my brother, who worked with the Hubble Team at Lockheed-Martin while it was being built. All printed in PLA on a Prusa Core One (HF0.4 nozzle, 0.15mm layers for detail), with colors as originally recommended: gray, black, and gold. And although it may look black in the photos, the stand is printed in a dark chestnut brown color.
Three minor additions/modifications to the original:
Colored Solar Panel surface: Printed a cut of the first few layers of the solar panels in a shiny blue silk PLA, to glue on (rather than painting the solar panels).
Shortened the secondary baffle to sit on top of the uncut 1" (25mm) hobby mirror, while maintaining its original scale. It will be glued in place on the surface of the mirror, rather than fitting in the original recessed socket.
Modified the rammer tool by adding a deeper hole for the secondary baffle - this is optional, but allows me to use the tool to align the secondary baffle to the center of the mirror, while I use a spot of superglue to fasten it in place. Remove the mirror/baffle assembly from the tool before inserting it into the telescope. [To prevent the secondary baffle from being stuck in the tool, insert it and pull it out a couple of times to loosen up the fit.]
