Traits

Lavaform. The Tyrant leaves a trail of molten stone. Any creature that ends its turn within 5 feet of this trail must succeed on a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw or take 3d6 fire damage.

Flamebound Fury. When the Tyrant is below half HP, it gains advantage on melee attacks and its fire damage increases by 1d8.

Sword of the Furnace. The embedded blade is a relic of ancient fire gods. Once per day, the Tyrant can draw it and make a special attack (see below).

Actions

Multiattack. The Tyrant makes three attacks: one with its Flame Lash and two with its Molten Fists.

Molten Fist. Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target.
Hit: 19 (2d10 + 8) bludgeoning damage plus 7 (2d6) fire damage.

Flame Lash. Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target.
Hit: 22 (3d8 + 8) fire damage and the target must succeed on a DC 17 Strength saving throw or be pulled 10 feet toward the Tyrant.

Sword of the Furnace (1/day). Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target.
Hit: 36 (6d10 + 8) slashing damage plus 18 (4d8) fire damage. The target must make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or be stunned until the end of its next turn.

Legendary Actions

The Pyroclast Tyrant can take 2 legendary actions, choosing from the options below:

• Ignite Ground. The Tyrant causes the ground in a 10-foot radius to erupt in flame. Creatures in the area must make a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw or take 4d6 fire damage.

• Molten Surge. The Tyrant moves up to its speed through stone or lava without provoking opportunity attacks.
