This is a mini rack for 8 drives with hot swappable functionality. I just needed something with 8 drive slots and hot swapping features just for simplicity when upgrading or replacing drives and didn't want to depend on a either unavailable or potentially fire hazard backplane. I also am a big fan of cooling so I needed something to work with that as well. The drive sleds are just from the original models that I modified so I didn't include them here. The fan plate is measured for 92mm Noctua fans but I'm pretty sure the screw layout is the same for this fan size. The fan plate could use some work like maybe something to prevent fingers from going in and touching the fans but eh? moar airflow!
All of the bolts and threaded inserts are the same as the 7 drive bay I modified this off of so please refer to that as it goes into more detailed information and also provides alternatives that may still work for this.
DISCLOSURE:
The first four images are outdated and don't show the full usage of the power mounts but I assure you they work when they're all installed as that's the way I currently have it (only 4 drives installed but still).
