Add brass M4 nut and long screw. Recommend to use brass, this will not damage the point of the steel pin of the machine!
Simple print, optimize for strength. E.g. PLA is strong at room-temprature, but not so stiff. Add steel 2mm pins in bottom bar for stiffness.
*Use as puller:
Place over typewheel on machine as shown.
Slide the springclip of the wheel round to unlock.
Apply pressure by tightening the screw.
Take care that any bending of the bottom bar does not touch the wheel!
If pull with screw-force is not enough, the wheelpuller is useful as an anvil-piece when the shaft with stuck wheel is taken out of the machine for hammering loose.
*Use as anvil:
Have wheel with stuck pin reoved from machine.
Place wheel with pin in the wheelpuller on an anvil, e.g. on an open vise.
Remove the M4 and use a long M3 brass screw or 3mm brass rod to tap the pin down.
Brass to avoid damage to the tip of the steel pin.
M3 will fit through the 3.4mm tube inside the typewheel.
See sketch how the part helps place the pressure on the central tube only, i.e. routes the force to the metal core of the wheel and not the fragile vulcanite of the wheel drum or rim.
