Top Spool Adapter for Elegoo Centauri Carbon

Centauri Carbon Top-Mount Spool Base (TPU Optimized).

This is a structural mount designed to relocate the filament spool to the top of the Elegoo Centauri Carbon. Moving the spool to the top creates a direct, vertical path to the extruder, which is the single most effective way to improve print quality with flexible filaments.

The original filament path on the Centauri Carbon involves a long PTFE tube and several bends, creating significant friction. While fine for rigid materials (PLA/PETG), this friction often causes under-extrusion or jams when printing TPU.

🛠 Print Settings

To ensure the mount is strong enough to hold your filament safely, I recommend the following settings:

• Material: PETG, ASA, or ABS (for better heat resistance and durability).

• Walls/Perimeters: 3 or 4 walls.

• Infill: 25% (Gyroid or Grid).

• Supports: "Minimal supports for the screw holes".

🔧 Installation

1. Print this base and the Bearing Spool Holder linked above.

2. Mount the base to the top frame using the original printer frame.

3. Assemble the bearing holder onto this base.

4. Put your TPU of elastic filament spool.

5. Enjoy smooth, friction-free printing!
