Diabetic Lancet Needle Box - With 'Bloody Red' Drama!
This sleek, 3D-printed case is a practical and stylish solution for storing lancet needles, perfect for anyone managing diabetes. Designed with a smooth-sliding lid, it keeps essentials secure and discreetly stored.
Why Print This?
Managing diabetes is more than just a routine; it's a lifestyle that deserves a little style, too. This box helps bring some organization and personality to daily life.
A Thoughtful Gift: Printing this for a family member or friend genuinely shows that you are a caring person, paying attention to the small details that make their day easier.
Dramatic Flair: I painted the debossed "LANCET NEEDLES" text in a bloody red colour to add a bold, dramatic look. Feel free to use red filament or paint the letters after printing to achieve the same effect!
Practical & Portable: Sized to fit a good supply of standard lancet needles, it is ideal for home use or slipping into a bag for travel.
Disclaimer: This is a 3D printed storage container and is not a medical device. Always follow proper medical procedures for handling and disposing of lancet needles and consult with a healthcare professional regarding diabetes management and needle safety.
Adding Text in Slicer Software
Most modern slicers (like PrusaSlicer, Cura, Creality or Bambu Studio) have built-in features to add text and even change the colour/filament for specific layers.
Using a "Colour Change" or "Pause at Height": You can instruct the printer to pause at the exact layer where the text begins.
You pause the print, physically swap out your black filament for red filament, and then resume the print. This results in clean, layer-perfect colored text without any painting required.
Multi-Material Printing (If available): If you have a multi-material system (like the Bambu Lab AMS or Prusa MMU), the software automatically manages the filament swap, printing the text and box in different colours in a single seamless operation.
