Aqara Zigbee Door and Window Sensor Mount (3M Command Strips)

This is a mount for the Aqara Zigbee Door and Window Sensor which allows the quick and temporary mounting to the door and door frame.  It is designed to work with the small 3M Command Strip refills for mounting the magnet to the door and uses Gorilla Mounting Putty to mount the sensor platform to the door frame even if it isn't completely flat.

The magnet mount is about 8mm tall to align it with the sensor on the door frame with typical trim.  It is designed with a recess for the double-sided tape that comes with the sensor and then increases the footprint to match that of the small 3M Command Strip.  There is a center alignment line to assist in aligning the position of the mount with the sensor prior to attaching the magnet.

The sensor mount is a simple L shaped bracket that is sized to the footprint of the sensor.  There are 4 different versions to adjust for different trim setbacks and allow for moving the sensor closer to the magnet.  It is intended that the short side aligns with the edge of the door frame and any gap is filled with the Gorilla Mounting Putty so that the sensor mounting surface is perpendicular to the door frame and aligns with the magnet mounted on the door.  You can see in the pictures how a small "worm" of putty is positioned on the mount to attach it to the door frame.
