The Stealthchanger Dock is a bit too complex for my needs and involves an excessive number of parts. I am looking for a simpler, more minimalist, yet reliable docking solution for my A4T ToolHeads.
This is still very much a work in progress! I’d love for the community to get involved in the development—your feedback and ideas are highly appreciated as we refine this docking system.
To simplify the printing process and avoid difficult supports, the dock is split into two parts designed to be glued together after printing.
Parts List
To assemble the dock, you will need the following hardware:
4x M3 T-Nuts
4x M3 x 8mm Screws (maybe 2 are enough, paranoid people will use 4 :-) )
2x M3 Washers
2x Spacers (3.1mm ID, 5mm OD, 8mm Length) — these can be metal or 3D printed.
2x m3x60mm Screws
1x m3x5mm Srcew to adjust the fit of each Toolhead
1x m3 heatinsert for the adjustment screw
Design tip:
Since I'm using 3.1mm ID (Internal Diameter) spacers for M3 screws, it provides a very "close-fit" tolerance. If you are printing these spacers, I recommend checking your Extrusion Multiplier or Horizontal Expansion settings in your slicer to ensure the M3 screw slides through easily without needing to be forced or drilled out.
