mancala - travel rugged box

This is a complete 3D printable Mancala board, designed as a modular box with lid, suitable for storage, transport, and gameplay.
The model is optimized for easy printing, no supports, and multiple materials, while remaining customizable for makers.

The project includes four main STL parts, along with STEP, Fusion 360 (.f3d), SVG, and 3MF files for customization and easy printing.

🖨 Printing Recommendations

• Materials: PLA, PETG, ABS (or any rigid filament)

• Layer height: 0.2 – 0.3 mm

• Supports: Not required

• Infill: user preference

• Orientation: parts are already optimized in the provided 3MF

🔩 Additional Hardware Required

• 6 × M3x30mm screws

• Optional glue for the inner trays

🎲 Classic Mancala Rules (Basic Version)

This board is designed for classic Mancala with 4 stones per pit.

Setup

• Each player has 6 pits in front of them and 1 store (Mancala) on their right.

• Place 4 stones in each of the 12 small pits.

• Stores start empty.

Gameplay

1. Players take turns.

2. On your turn, pick up all stones from one of your pits.

3. Distribute them counterclockwise, one stone per pit, including your own store.

4. Skip your opponent’s store.

Special Rules

• If your last stone lands in your own store, you get another turn.

• If your last stone lands in an empty pit on your side, you capture that stone and all stones in the opposite pit and place them in your store.

End of Game

• The game ends when one player has no stones left in their pits.

• The other player places all remaining stones into their store.

• The player with the most stones in their store wins.
