Dental Burr stand for 2.35mm shank burrs, mostly used by dental technicians.

This burr stand consists of 7 different parts:

3 parts on each side (blue ones in pics)

1 part in the back (orange in pics)

1 main body part (yellow in pics)

2 additional parts, it's the exact same as 1 yellow part, only I remade it, so that you could split it in two parts.

Now you can use whatever you prefer, I recommend printing the main part (yellow), the big one, attach silicone rubber legs and leave the magnet supports as is and just use it, after few weeks you might decide that you need additional parts - print those and attach it with magnets. It's always nice to have the ability to connect some extra parts in the future if you need it.

The whole burr stand is made in a way that you could be able to connect whatever you like in the future and just build it the way you prefer, that's why I remade the main yellow part in 2 parts and also kept the original one too, so you can choose whatever you like.

Print settings: 15% infill, brim around the perimeter, supports everywhere.

Prints in the pictures are made of PLA, but you can use whatever you like, I also chose different colors so that it would be easier to understand the whole project. I also am using this burr holder myself and PLA is fine, you don't really need something better, it does the job fine.

Burr holes on the prints are 2.75mm so you can easily insert or remove burrs.

On the bottom there are places for silicone legs (cabinet door stops), hole covers are very easy to remove with any tool that fits, holes are 10.3mm, so you need 10.0mm rubber legs.

On the sides there are holes for magnets, the holes are made for 8x3mm magnets, holes on the prints are 8.15mm diameter and 3.08mm depth. I recommend removing the hole supports with pliers and after that just use metal burrs to make the holes perfect for magnets, put the magnets in to check, after that glue them in, I use Moment liquid glue, if you don't have that - use similar good quality glue, the magnets are quite strong, also pick strong magnets.

This is very important if you are new to putting in magnets in prints - first glue the magnets on one part and hold them for 1-2 minutes pressed with your fingers, then leave it for about 30 minutes and after that on the same part, on already glued in magnets, put new magnets on top (no glue) and pick the printed part you want to connect and now you'll see which side to glue the magnets in, because the active side is already sticking on the first part with magnets. This is just a simple tip, but it might save your prints.

If you don't like magnets I also made Burr Holder V1, it's just like the big yellow part here, only without magnets.

UPDATE 2026 04 18: added 3 more parts and two new pictures with my current setup, new pictures got nothing to do with the description above, too lazy to rewrite and retake pictures, you'll figure it out :)
