Game Overview
Balance Blocks is a skill-based tabletop game focused on balance, precision, and risk management.
Players place scored blocks onto a base while trying to finish the game with the lowest total score of unused blocks.
Blocks have different shapes and difficulty levels, clearly marked with numbers 1–5, representing their point value.
The game can be played on:
One shared base (competitive sabotage mode)
Individual bases (parallel challenge mode)
Block Types & Scoring
Each block has:
A unique rounded shape
A printed number showing its point value
Only unused blocks count toward your final score.
Game Modes
Mode 1: Shared Base (Sabotage Mode)
All players build on one common base
Players take turns placing one block
You may place any block from your supply
If the structure collapses:
The game ends immediately
Players calculate their remaining score
The player with the lowest total score of remaining blocks wins
Mode 2: Individual Bases (Endgame Bonus Mode)
Each player builds on their own base
Players take turns as usual
If a player causes their structure to fall:
That player is immediately eliminated
All other players get one final bonus turn (place one additional block)
The game then ends
Optional strategic ending:
A player may choose not to place a block on their turn
This triggers the final bonus turn for all other players
The game then ends immediately
Special rule:
If a player successfully uses the rocking base, they subtract 10 points from their final score
The player with the lowest total score of remaining blocks wins
Scoring & End of Game
Placed blocks do NOT count
Only unused blocks are scored
Lower score = better result
The goal is not to stack the most
The goal is to get rid of high-point blocks safely
