r₂ = 8.6 mm
Mechanical gain:
G = 2Rc / (r₁ − r₂)
G = (2 × 40) / (15 − 8.6)
G = 12.5
Required gain:
G = 5 / 0.6 = 8.3
Since 12.5 > 8.3, the design provides sufficient mechanical advantage to lift the required 5 kg load.
