My work fantasy football league wanted a perpetual trophy for the league. This base allows both of the plates to be customized. The bottom plate is permanently fixed with some CA glue. The top plate slides into the groove and can be removed for the next recipient.
There is an M5 through hole for fixing the trophy top to the base.
You do not need to have a multicolor printer, just pause at the layer height of the text and change the color manually.
Use Orca Slicer to create the text. Lay the nameplates flat and use the emboss text option. You'll need to use the settings below:
Embossing Text:
Font: Noto Sans (do not use one of the variants)
Height: No Smaller than 4.5mm (5.0 is what I used in the picture)
Depth: As needed (.6mm is a good start)
Open Advanced Settings:
Char gap: 50 points
Boldness: 100 points
Layer Height .2mm (changing the layer height makes the text get weird)
