I designed two custom 3D‑printable enclosures for the BigTreeTech U2C CANbus converter, available in both small and large form factors. The goal was to create clean, functional housings that improve cable management, protect the board, and integrate smoothly into a variety of printer or electronics setups.
🔹 Design Goals
Compact footprint: The small case offers a minimalistic enclosure for tight spaces or lightweight builds.
Enhanced usability: The large case provides additional internal volume for improved airflow, cable routing, or future modifications.
Print‑friendly geometry: All parts are optimized for FDM printing with no unnecessary overhangs, ensuring reliable results on most printers.
Secure mounting: Both versions include mounting points that keep the U2C board firmly in place while allowing easy access to connectors.
Clean aesthetics: The exterior surfaces are smooth and structured, giving the cases a professional, integrated look.
