Fits what I think is a Schlage ALX Series - Saturn Entrance lock.
Designed to prevent people from turning the lock button and locking people out of rooms or spaces where the passageway lock was improperly used. (Since no matter how many signs you put up people still don't read.)
Will not prevent intentional lockouts where someone pushes the button and lets the door close, but should stop accidental lockout caused by either not knowing how the lock works or unintentionally pushing the lock button when opening the door to leave.
Default print settings (I printed mine in 0.25 structural w/ 15% infill).
Simply slip over the lock and it should seat firmly.
This lock is the worst.
(picture is of an older version which made it easier to accidentally lock the door and let it close, current version has the button never protrude past the housing making that much more difficult.)
2026/01/14 - I added a rev E version that has a much larger paddle and doesn't push against the lock knob at all so it's much harder to accidentally lock the door brushing against it.
2026/01/16 - I added a rev G version because people couldn't tell if the last one was locked or not. it has a floating button that just sits inside the body. needs to be printed with supports.
