Mandolin wall hook has inegrated magnets for holding the blade box in place. The box has integrated magnets for hook and for the lid in the corners. As I have plenty of 5 mm ball magnets, I use them widely :-)
Should you decide for the same magnets, you have to set print pause before closing the hole to insert magnets. There is sufficient margin to keep the ball free for the right orientaion. The lid has similar holes in all four corners in this moment, so I marked the ones for magnet by small holes from side.
I printed it from PLA, however the thin box lid got sligthly twisted, but nothing critical. I think PETG would work well.
