Designed on FreeCAD with dynamic parameters, this card box can be fully customized to hold cards of any size - whether it's playing cards, game or collectible cards, or bank cards.

I made this to hold my Stackable Playing Cards - check also that model of you want your own 3D printed cards deck.

Included models already pre-build and sliced for you:

  • XXS - for credit card sized cards (85x54cm), holds 4 cards;

  • XS - for credit card sized cards (85x54cm), holds 6 cards;

  • SMALL - for credit card sized cards (85x54cm), holds 10 cards;

  • MEDIUM - for playing cards (90x60cm), holds 10 cards;

  • LARGE - for playing cards (90x60cm), holds 20 cards;

  • XL - for playing cards (90x60cm), holds 30 cards;

  • XXL - for playing cards (90x60cm), holds 52 cards, which is a full deck.

These are all organized into folders and each includes a .3mf file with all settings pre-defined.

The .fcstd file is the FreeCAD source file that you can use to generate card boxes of any size. In order to do that, you'll need FreeCAD 1.0+ installed on your machine. Open the file and edit the Spreadsheet with the parameters you need. There are 4 main parameters you can change:

  • Card Width (in mm)

  • Card Height (in mm)

  • Card Thickness (in mm)

  • Number of Cards

After changing the numbers you just need to select each part of the object and go to File -> Export to export the STL for each part (body and lid separately).

Printing Advice

Both the box body and the lid were designed to be printed facing up, with the openings in the top. For the XXS and XS models, a brim is advised. All others can be printed fine without a brim.

Settings I have used:

  • 0.20 (speed), PLA

  • 100% infill

  • box openings facing up

  • brim only for the xxs and xs sizes
