I've included my models for the main and secondary side buttons PCB in case anyone finds it helpful to create their own mod. That said, only the main PCB is tested for accuracy as that is the one I used in this model.
For assembly, slide the PCB WITHOUT the mouse wheel. This will require some finagling, as there are some catch points (the encoder wheel, the pins on the bottom of the PCB), but nothing that should bend your PCB or break your print. At least with PLA, the buttons and wheel supports have enough give so that you can slot the wheel in by pushing the side supports a little.
This model only uses 3 of the 4 screws to secure the main PCB. Access the top right screw through the hole in the RMB. The fourth has a screw post, but it's under the mouse button and I couldn't find a good way to really rotate it without stripping the screw.
I keep the battery taped down on top of the mouse sensor, right behind the mouse wheel, using double sided tape. I keep the original mouse sensor clear plastic bit, which is held up by that center platform.
I don't know what the final weight is, as weight reduction wasn't my primary concern. Coolness factor and personal usability was. I might edit the model in the future to account for even easier assembly, but I'm putting this project to rest for now.
