Materials needed:
Any decently stiff filament (I used PLA but it may degrade under UV light);
TPU for the strap bands;
SL68 movement with battery and hands (you may be able to print them but I haven't tested it;
Movement housing (it's made for a ~22 mm diameter housing but you can edit the STEP files);
6 M3x3 or M3x4 screws;
36 mm watch crystal (1 mm thick).
A 1 mm thick pun (see assembly #8).
Assembly:
Superglue top chassis and bottom chassis;
Put the movement inside the chassis;
Put the stem and crown, this will also secure the movement to the correct orientation and prevent it from rotating;
Add the back plate and secure it with the screws;
Add the hour hand so that it points towards any hour marking;
Add the minute hand so that it points towards 12 o' clock;
Add the crystal and press fit the bezel;
Secure the TPU bands with a 1 mm thick pin (you can simply clip a paperclip and it works fine. If it doesn't, use a drill to open the holes on the chassis.
Important notes:
Do not use any carbon fibre or glass fibre filaments as they are itchy and not suitable for prolonged skin contact;
The top chassis has a very thin bottom so if you don't have an auto levelling printer make sure your bed is level and your Z height is correct
To avoid seeing the movement make sure you print the top chassis at a 0.1 mm layer height with an infill pattern that is not "aligned" and with a dark coloured filament.
To improve legibility you can pause the top chassis print and change colour after Z=0.5 mm. The colour of the dial won't be visible on the outside.
Printed on a Core One + with Prusament PLA Galaxy Black and Prusa Orange and Spectre 87A TPU.
