RAM Promaster Door Pocket Storage

My 2023 Promaster 2500 Van did not come with door pockets. There are holes that are there covered with rubber plugs. You can purchase aftermarket OEM ones (see links below), but they aren't very big and don't use the full step well area.

This was a complicated part to design because I wanted to make it printable on small printers (Prusa Core one or Elegoo Centauri Carbon). I had to break the part into three pieces. Since they are very big pieces and take a long time to print, I wanted to reduce the amount of support material required. You still print these with full support. I covered the four bolt mounting areas with a thin 0.6mm surfaces. These need to be cut out with an exacto knife. I also had to make two small platform surfaces on the middle piece dovetails so that the supports would work correctly. These also have to be removed.

I printed in Black PETG Carbon fiber. This was for inside van temperatures and for strength. I also like the matt finish. Your printer will need a hardened nozzle for this material.

You can use super glue on the dovetails for more durability.

I plan to upload the passenger side models soon. For now you can just mirror them in the slicer. I am working on covers for the pocket storage.

To mount the door pocket, I removed the four rubber plugs and installed M6 Plusnuts. I used a long handle M4 allen wrench to install the top bolts loosely first. Then I used a small L shaped M4 allen wrench to install the two bottom bolts. Once the four bolts were started, I tightened all four bolts.
