Cottage Cheese Transport Container

This model is a protective transport container for cottage cheese cups to safely carry dairy snacks in a backpack or bag without damaging the cup and causing leaks. I regularly take cottage cheese to the office as a healthy snack, and wanted a reusable solution that works reliably on the go.

Because cottage cheese cups vary by brand and height, this container is designed to be as universally compatible as possible. While cup heights differ from various brands, the upper rim diameter (where the foil lid is sealed) is often identical.
The container is designed to fit most cottage cheese cups commonly sold in German supermarkets with a rim diameter of 95 mm. If you are using cups with a different diameter, feel free to leave a comment — feedback helps to improve compatibility.

Design

Inside the container, a support ring is integrated that carries the plastic rim of the cup, so height differences between brands do not matter. With the integrated thread, the screw lid presses on the foil lid / rim of the cup, clamping it securely against the internal support ring. This prevents any movement or wobbling, even during transport in a backpack. The lid is hollow on the inside and features a rib which acts as a grip for tightening and loosening. A practical side effect of the floating cup design is the unused space below the cup, which can be used to carry small items such as a small spoon or spices / seasoning.
