A cover and stand for the KM4CFT-designed CFT1 transceiver.
There are some nice options available, but I wanted a few different features. The cover extends slightly down the sides of the radio. This prevents it from slipping sideways, protecting the knobs better from lateral pressure. I included a small ledge on the top of the cover. This provides a place to rest and support the bottom of the radio when propped up in its operating position. I wanted to prevent slipping, and I didn't like how some designs exposed magnets on top to catch the radio's assembly screws for support while operating.
The tradeoff is that this design requires support to print, and that support is annoying to remove. I use a small flat head screwdriver at an upper corder of the cover's rim to start to lift support free. With a little patience getting stared, I can pull the main field of support free cleanly in one go, including the recessed magnet pockets. Support for the knobs is then easy to remove.
The cover uses 6mmx2mm magnets to hold it down to the radio. Magnets should press-fit into place securely, but you can use a small dab of super glue if they're loose. The magnets will protrude slightly from their recessed pockets to ensure the cover clears the screen and buttons.
I included 2 versions: One plain, one with CFT1 recessed into the cover.
Printed with PLA using standard support settings in Prusa Slicer. It would probably be a lot easier to use PETG with PLA supports to simplify support removal.
